The Dangers of Holiday Shopping

It's everyone's favorite time of year yet again. Good food, better memories, and incredible deals on pretty much every consumer product known to man. The holiday shopping season is a huge part of the United States consumer culture, and year-after-year people will battle their way through department stores in the early hours of the morning to get their hands on new TVs, new clothes, or kitchen appliances. All jokes aside, holiday shopping is a tradition that many people love to participate in every year, and there is no greater symbol of that than Black Friday. As it is with most beloved traditions, however, there are always opportunists who are going to attempt to exploit people's natural tendencies for a quick buck. This holds true, now more than ever, with cybercriminals looking to cash in on the holiday shopping craze.

Hackers, scammers, and phishers are all unapologetic opportunists who will strike at the nearest possible opportunity. Beware any and all suspicious links, deals, or anything that seems too-good-to-be-true. Beyond that, enjoy this festive time of year!
